When the house was being designed we initially planned to put in composting toilets. As part of the design process I got in touch with a local newspaper to find out the rain fall figures for the years preceding the work on the house. These revealed a high enough rain fall such that we decided that compost toilets were not necessary. That is the water collection system would be able to collect more than enough water to deal with all the needs of house, including flushing a toilet. So we went with using the lowest flush toilets we found available. They are made by Ifö.
There were no baths put into the house because of water availabilty, instead showers were used.
The door seen in this photograph is from the old house. Three doors were used from the old house. More were planned to be used, but they were sadly stolen before the old house was even taken down!
