This house was originally the summer house for the Manor house next door. Thought to be almost one hundred years old it overlooks a flat piece of land which was the Manor house's tennis court. In dismantling the house care was taken to preserve as much wood as possible as well as the chimney, which is now seen on the new house. The wood was stored along the driveway and treated with a salt based solution before being installed in the new house. Tracks where wood worm once crawled can be seen in the old wood now on the floor of the new house.
