🐋️ I was taking a friend to the airport just over a week ago. We rounded the corner coming out of the Maliko Gulch on the north Shore of Maui. On a clear day the view is spectacular looking across to Mauna Kahālāwai (the West Maui Mountains). It is one of those views that fit into the category of “never tire of that view." We pulled over so that my friend could take a photo….and in that moment, so close to shore, a whale breached. I have never seen one breach so close to shore on the north shore of the island. That image is etched into my mind. ⚘
